The Humans originate from the Continent of Aetrera, which lies to the southeast. A land they had largely conquered , they set their sites North and found the Cormagh peninsula by pure chance. They landed in Kalzanzabar,a place that would be the future Genisaad Kingdom, at the port city of Zanathar. Others landed further east, arriving at a ruined port city, whose original name is unknown. Scattered across both regions they found the Dwarves,a nomadic and barbaric people and made peace with them. More of the humans began landing on the continent, some of them landing in Boiling Bay, and others at the City of Diamonds. Their influence, and the tactics of the current Emperor, meant that none saw the signs of war.
Seeing no nation holding true sway, and many of the regions almost completely uninhabited, the humans of Vizeria struck a deal with the orcs of Kelurac and the Dwarves of Kalzanzabar. They would take the land from the xenophobic elves, unite it, and distribute it fairly. The war rages easily from the south, tearing northward through the elven lands that mark where Vizeria's capital is now. The Elves were forced back, and due to their hostile tendencies towards all foreigners, they received no aide. The Humans pushed east, and took over much of the land of Tirenth, enslaving the halflings that lived within the forests. Using the Halfling slave labor, they were able to build and produce far more than the Elves, and when it came time, the Dragonborn.
The onset of a particularly harsh winter paused their campaign on the borders of the Crast River, and with it the founding of Varigge, the capital of The Empire on this continent. When Spring came, they pushed across it in a monumental show of force, led by Crast Andivor, the current general. The next few major battles were so bloody, that the river ran red with it. The Empire expanded almost to the very doorstep of Syrreth. The Dragonborn had yet to join the fray eastward, as they had so far been under siege by the orcs and half-orcs that came at them from the west. Their lands shrank, but none could defeat the Dragonborn so close to their home where Tiaraaks The Last Silver could reinforce their ranks. A tentative Alliance was forged by the Dragonborn and the Elves, as both knew they could not withstand a two-front war alone. Together, they repelled the orcs and human forces. Yet not before The Empire stretched from the shores of Kalzanzabar north into the Northlands. Emperor Eradus came to power, and realized that without the pressure from the west, the Elves could and possibly would push them back with the Dragonborn's help. He ordered Crast to send his forces back across the the river a second time, marking the first act of peace from The Empire. It was then that the Treaty of Crast's Crossing was signed and a tentative peace took hold.
The Dwarves, dissatisfied with the relatively flat land of The Empire, demanded the land they were promised. At the same time, Zyll, the Archlich claimed the land of Kalzanzabar as his own, any new ships that landed there were forced to join his kingdom, or become one with his undead hoard. Cut off effectively from Aetrera, the humans gave the Dwarves the desert and any mountain homes they could find. Some took residence in the Ash Peaks that separated Genisaad from the Scorched Valley, others in the Eastern Mountains, but most dug deep into the sand and created an underground haven there, having learned much from the humans in way of government. The Orcs were given free reign to reside in any lands that Vizeria held, however much of it resided on the other side of the mountains, or forced them to pass through Rhaegos. Instead they took the Outlands of Olorr and went back to their previous lifestyle, slowly changing by the increased number of half-orcs.
